Part-time Ecommerce Accounting Clerk

Job Description:

\* We are seeking part-time candidates in California who can work 4 days per week (any day on Mon - Fri) for 5 - 6 hours per day. This position will be hired by an employment agency located in CA. This is a remote position in CA.


*JOB SUMMARY*


The position is responsible for full cycle Accounts Receivable process for Ecommerce and wholesales sales. Prepares Sales and Use Tax Report. Works closely with Accounting team, Ecommerce Project Managers, B2C and B2B Sales Managers in a multi-sales channel environment.


*REQUIREMENTS*


- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent Accounting Principles knowledge.


- Minimum 2-year experience with Accounts Receivable required.


- Minimum 2-year experience in ecommerce accounting operations include sales taxes. Shopify and Amazon experience a plus.


- Must have experience with accounting software. QuickBooks and Avalara experience is a plus.


- Advanced skills in Excel including pivot tables and v-lookup.


- Must be proficient in MS Office.


- Attention to detail.


- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills in English.


- Must be a team player.


- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the US.




*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*


- Full cycle Accounts Receivable. Over 100 invoices per month.


- Identify receivables against invoices and credit memos.


- Reconciliation/Credit card reconciliation


- Create invoices, credit memos and statements of accounts.


- Review Sales Reports for accuracy and summarize. 200 - 300 transactions per month.


- Prepare Sales and Use Tax Reports for multiple states.


- Monitor sales tax collection thresholds and alert team members.


- Assist other project team members.




*Other Responsibilities*


- Submits accurate information to Accounting each month for invoicing and billing.


- Seeks constant improvement, more efficient and less expensive ways and means in work processes.


- Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisors


- Maintains high ethical standards in the workplace.


- Reports all irregular issues and problems to supervisors for solution.


- Maintains good communication with supervisors, office staff members and outside contacts.


- Complies with all company policies and procedures.


- Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.


- Manages client relationships in a professional manner and exceeds clients' expectations.


- Maintains confidentiality.


Job Type: Part-time


Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
