Our patented 2-Piece Rug System has a removable top layer that can be washed in a home washing machine, offering a stylish and convenient solution for families, pet owners, and busy individuals. We are a small, entrepreneurial team with big ambitions. We have a strong brand, established traction, and a great team fueling our growth.We are seeking a resourceful individual to drive product development for several new product categories. This individual will work alongside industrial designers, sourcing, user research, and launch teams to help bring products from ideation to launch. The Product Development Associate/Manager will lead the project management of multiple product categories and execute on many hands-on activities (e.g., sourcing, testing, prototyping) needed to operationalize the products.Key Responsibilities:(Depending on candidate interest/experience and business need at time of hire)Project Management

• Create and maintain detailed development timelines, working cross-functionally with sourcing, user research, design, and launch team members
• Develop view of unit economics and forecast sales for new product categories
• Develop product assortments based on trend, surveys, and prior salesTesting
  • Develop and conduct methods to rigorously test products in-house
  • Research, define, and execute on official testing and regulatory requirements for new product categories
  • Develop methods of evaluating samples (e.g., QC scorecards)Sourcing/Vendor Management
    • Support new sourcing initiatives for products both locally and overseas, developing a network of vendors and manufacturers for new products and component parts
    • Stand up communications with vendors to drive product development cross-category, troubleshooting issues and negotiating (contracts, costs, timelines), as needed
    • Visit and evaluate manufacturers, as neededDesign (optional)
      • Iterate with overseas suppliers on samples via tech packs and vendor management
      • Source parts and construct physical prototypes by hand or through contractors
      • Create 2D or 3D models for new product categories
      • Uncover new ways to solve design challenges (e.g., using attachments and hardware in non-traditional ways)Qualifications:
        • 4+ years of relevant work experience in physical product development, industrial design, sourcing, product testing, and/or mechanical engineering
        • Title and scope will be adjusted for candidates with more experience
        • Optional: Knowledge of CAD (e.g., Solidworks/Rhino) and/or Adobe Suite (e.g., Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
        • Excellent written and verbal communication with impeccable attention to detail
        • Excellent project management, analytical, and organizational skills
        • Ability to assess aesthetics and quality of textiles and other home goods
        • Experience with CPG/Retail, especially with furniture, textiles, home goodsAdditional Details:
