At FF, we're creating something new, something connected, and something with a true global impact.Your Role:In this position you will be responsible for the design, development, and execution of vehicle programs. This role requires high levels of initiative, independent judgement, and indirect leadership capability. Must be able to lead teams to creative solutions and develop new processes in a compressed timeline.Responsibilities:* Design, Development, Validation, Release and Launch Execution of an all-new vehicle* Engineering leadership including on-site support as needed at assembly plant or test locations* Lead all pre-production builds from Mule through non-saleable factory builds* Directly responsible for schedule, cost, and scope containment for the EV product lifecycle* Create and track development, build, and launch plans with a cross functional team of manufacturing engineers, design engineers, procurement/buyers, finance, and vendors* Identify and escalate program risks. Develop and execute risk mitigation plans as needed* Lead physical integration of vehicle via design reviews* Support performance integration of vehicle, including driving design solutions for integration issues* Engineering budget trade-offs (vehicle and material focus)* Responsible for program deliverables status at program gateways and weekly executive reviews* Issue resolution champion and roadblock remover for cross functional issues* Run weekly KPI meeting* Engineering approval responsibility for engineering releases* Working with the purchasing and supplier quality assurance teams, you will ensure all suppliers are nominated on time to support DFM activities and that contracts are placed to support tooling and prototype and production buildsBasic Qualifications:* 12+ years of professional relative work experience* Bachelor's degree with a major in engineering or technology, or equivalent work experience* Launch experience on a vehicle program* Exposure to multiple functional areas* Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with internal and external partners* Understanding of engineering theory and principles of operation of mechanical/electrical systems* Technical and professional skills in job-related area required* Able to work efficiently under high amount of work/stress* Specific knowledge of engineering discipline (eg, mechanics, physics, metallurgy, manufacturing methods, electronics, software, control systems) within job-related area* High level analytical ability where problems are unusual and complex* Knowledge of engineering software and systems as it pertains to job-related area* Demonstrated success in managing multiple activities/projects, priorities, and people in a fast-paced, high-growth, results-driven environment* Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical/problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.* Experience with setting up project forecasts and managing project spend* Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze large amounts of data at a macro and micro level* Excellent oral and written communication skills, including executive level presentations; ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience* Detailed knowledge and understanding of product development processes* Ability to simultaneously focus on the near and long term aspects of the projectPerks + Benefits:* Stock options for every employee* Healthcare + dental + vision benefits (Free for you/discounted for family)* 401(k)* Relocation assistance + reimbursement* Casual dress code + relaxed work environment* Culturally diverse, progressive atmosphere* "Soul of Faraday" community outreach team
