SUMMARY: Chemical Guys is seeking a diligent Regulatory Affairs
Manager that will be responsible for development and implementation
of Global Regulatory Affairs and Product Compliance for the catalog
of existing and new Chemical Guys products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Report to and work with the Director of Brand and Product
Development on domestic and international regulatory guidance for
product development and product label creation.
Assist in the management of technical issues with external entities
including contract manufacturers, health authorities and regulatory
Determine regulatory status of ingredients and marketing claims to
be used in Chemical Guys products and provide compliance guidance
to the Product Development team.
Manage all domestic and international registration projects as
needed by retail customers or governmental regulatory bodies.
Develop Safety Data Sheets in collaboration with Product
Development, Legal, Marketing, Contract Manufacturers, and Quality
Ensure product compliance and hedge regulatory risk through active
research, continuing education and consultation with experts.
Maintain document repository for product dossiers, test results,
certifications, retains, and other related material, ensuring that
all required and requested product information documents are kept
compliant, up-to-date, and accessible.
Assist in investigating and resolving product and process problems
related to regulatory issues.
Review and approve final product packaging based on compliance with
Provide technical assistance on various department tasks and
projects as needed.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Regulatory Science,
or other science preferred.
5+ years' experience related to compliance in the CPG, Beauty,
Food, or Supplement industries.
Familiarity with Prop 65, Health Canada, FHSA, CCCR and REACH
labeling guidelines and requirements.
Experience with global product registration in key markets such as
Canada, EU, UK and Asia Pacific.
Highly organized, efficient, and self-motivated
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks
Ability to work under pressure and with cross-functional teams
Proficiency managing multiple projects simultaneously
High learning aptitude and adaptability with systems and regulatory
