Position: Executive Vice President, Fundraising
Reports to : Chief Operating Officer
Location: Gardena, CA
Classification: Exempt

organization.
Accountabilities of the Position
The Executive Vice President, Fundraising is accountable for
securing new corporate and foundation donors from Fortune 1000
companies, local businesses, and national and community
foundations; helping to retain existing HSF corporate and
foundation donors; supporting individual donor fundraising efforts;
and assisting with other organization-wide projects and
initiatives, as needed.

--- Exceptional and demonstrable management, leadership,
interpersonal, and communication skills
--- Ability to exercise sound judgement, use discretion, maintain
confidentiality, and demonstrate an understanding of ethics related
to fundraising activities and nonprofit operations
--- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks/projects
simultaneously and meet strict deadlines
--- Demonstrated track record of identifying, cultivating,
soliciting, and securing major grants and gifts from Fortune 1000
companies, local businesses, national and community foundations,
individuals, and other private funding sources
--- Demonstrated ability in planning and implementing long- and
short-range fundraising initiatives
--- Ability to conduct research, gather data, analyze information,
and prepare effective, accurate, and timely reports and other
documents to support fundraising objectives
--- Awareness of best practices in customer service
--- Coachable
Credentials/Experience
--- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
--- Proficiency with Office365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Forms, Teams, etc.) Adobe Acrobat PDF, database management (i.e.
Salesforce), ESP technology (i.e. Marketo), web-based research, and
videoconferencing applications (i.e. Zoom)
--- 20+ years of experience in similar or related role
--- Proficiency in Spanish or a second language a plus but not
required
Commitment Expectations
--- Flexible to work weekends and/or extended workdays, as
needed
--- Flexible to travel up to 30% of the time for meetings,
presentations, and events, as needed
--- Flexible to complete additional assignments depending on the
needs of the organization
--- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and
occasionally lift no more than 35 pounds
