This position will be in Redondo Beach, California and support the Air Dominance Programs (F-35, F/A-18 and future AD pursuits) within the Global Supply Chain program management organization.Supplier Manufacturing Engineering is responsible for technical management related to the acquisition of military aircrafts part and assemblies. This position requires a motivated individual with a background in aerospace manufacturing that has excellent interpersonal skills to respond to program customer needs and concerns quickly. The candidate must have a demonstrated ability to multi-task and communicate effectively with varying levels of internal customers and functional organization (Major Subs, Manufacturing Engineering, GSC, and Programs) to solve technical challenges quickly to minimize acquisition interruptions. This is a direct charge position where the manager will work as an individual contributor in addition to managing a team of 12 manufacturing engineers that support Air Dominance programs.Responsibilities include supporting the Global Supply Chain organization through coordination with internal and external stakeholders that support multiple Air Dominance programs. Support development of SME labor estimates and develop processes to streamline and ensure robust execution of tasks. Provide staff to program needs, lead and evaluate performance of team members. Conduct production readiness audits of supplier's facilities to access risks. Conduct technical evaluations of supplier proposals to determine fair and reasonableness and support supply chain negotiations with general procurement and Major Subs.Travel required (up to 25%)Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree with 9 years' experience, Masters degree with 7 years' experience. Experience should include manufacturing/production, engineering, supplier management within aerospace manufacturing/engineering, or related field.Experience with model-based programs (i.E. CATIA V5, NX)Understanding of GD& T, and manufacturing notes to manage change requests with suppliersExperience leading multi-disciplined manufacturing and engineering teams.Capable to conduct audits and reviews with suppliers for capability assessments and rate readiness.Working proficiency using SAP and MS Office software packages.Active DoD Secret Clearance Secret that has been granted / renewed within the past 6 yearsPreferred Qualifications:Master of Science degree in engineering or manufacturingActive TCC (Technology Transfer Controller) familiar with TLA, MLA, and export control rulesExperience working on F-35 using CATIA V and Teamcenter and JDL.Experience working on F/A-18 2D drawings, mylars, models, Teamcenter and hornet view.Knowledge of tool design, configuration, and maintenance.Understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes of composites and metal parts.Experienced with NGC ERP and accountability tools (SAP, MES, AssetSmart, etc)Knowledge of FAR & DFAR requirementsSalary Range: $130,500 USD $195,700 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
