Systems has an opening in Global Supply Chain for a Principal/Sr
Principal Project Management to join our team.This position will be
located in Redondo Beach, CA supporting a hybrid schedule,
reporting to the office every week.The selected candidate will help
drive GSC integration across multiple tiers of the Research and
Advanced Design Supply Chain. They will focus on supply chain
execution and drive process improvements to ensure alignment with
program priorities.The selected candidate should thrive in a
fast-paced work environment and will clearly demonstrate strong
leadership skills to achieve sustainable top performance. They will
be able to successfully complete diverse work assignments and
effectively collaborate in team settings across all levels. This
selected candidate must be able to collaborate closely with
executive and program leadership. They will have a track record as

and maintain good working relationships with internal and external
stakeholders. They will demonstrate a commitment to ethics and

traditional ways of doing business.This role is responsible for
leading all phases of the program life cycle from proposal
development through execution and contract closeout. Primary
responsibilities require oversight of all functions across the
supply chain for a particular work scope, including but not limited
to: Requirements and Planning, Supplier Management, Business
Management, Supplier Manufacturing Engineering
Logistics.Responsibilities include:
- Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing
projects and serves as liaison between project management and
planning, project team, and line management
- Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and
prepares status reports
- Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet
productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and
objectives
- Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for
intervention and problem solving with project managers, line
managers, and clients
- Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and
standards. Considered expert in field within the organization.
Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform complex tasks. Able
to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches
and findings.
- Develops solutions to complex problems which require the
regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Ensures solutions are
consistent with organization objectives.
- Most assignments are complex and performed independently
without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in
determining objectives and approaches to assignment.
- Effects of decisions are long-lasting and heavily influence the
future course of the organization. Errors in judgment or failure to
achieve results would result in the expenditure of large amounts of
company resources as well as problems with customer
satisfaction.
- Serves as consultant to management and special external
spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to
its policies, plans, and objectives. Acts as an advisor to senior
management and customers.Technical Skills:
- Proficient in MS Office suite including Excel (pivot tables),
PowerPoint, and Project (scheduling)
- SAP experiencePrincipal Project Management (Level 3):Basic
Qualifications:
- Must have Bachelor's with 5 years, Master's with 3 years or
High School diploma/equivalent with 9 years' experience in the
following: Project Management, Program Management, Procurement,
Purchasing, Business Management, Proposals, Program Scheduling,
Price/Cost Analysis, Program Integration, or other Global Supply
Chain related field
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite
- Knowledge of Project Management principles
- Experience using SAP, ERP or other related business software
application
- Ability to obtain & maintain a DoD Secret Clearance and Program
Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by
the Company to meet its business needs.Senior Principal Project
Management (Level 4):Basic Qualifications:
- Must have Bachelor's with 8 years, Master's with 6 years or
High School diploma/equivalent with 12 years' experience in the
following: Project Management, Program Management, Procurement,
Purchasing, Business Management, Proposals, Program Scheduling,
Price/Cost Analysis, Program Integration, or other Global Supply
Chain related field
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite
- Knowledge of Project Management principles
- Experience using SAP, ERP or other related business software
application
- Ability to obtain & maintain a DoD Secret Clearance and Program
Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by
the Company to meet its business needs.Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM) and Control Account
Manager (CAM)
- The ability to create, manage, and manipulate the tools in
PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Experience providing financial and business support
- Project/Program Management Certifications
- SharePoint workflow or other collaboration site
design/development.
- Process mapping and process improvement experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- DOD Secret Clearance
- Special Program Access
- Capture experience and early program material managementSalary
Range: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00 Salary Range 2: $113,500.00 -
$170,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline;
however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when
determining base salary offers such as the scope and
responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience,
education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the
position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift
differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as
well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in
Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term
Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of
benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability
insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off
(PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period
