Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: Provides care to patients with
pulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities. Assesses, plans,
implements, and evaluates respiratory care modes. Coordinates
patient care within the overall medical plan of care in conjunction
with physician---s orders and appropriate department/hospital
guidelines. Responsible for care of neonates, pediatrics,
adolescents, young adults, adults, and geriatrics. ADA

employee/applicant in order to be considered. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Must have successfully completed an accredited respiratory program.
Previous acute/subacute experience is preferred. Will train new
graduates. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be able to read, analyze, and
interpret common scientific and technical information. Must be
easily understood through verbal communication in the English
language. Must be able to prepare documentation in a manner that
conforms to prescribed style and format. Must be able to respond to
common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies,
or members of the business community. Bilingual skills (Spanish) is
preferred. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must have current
California RCP license. Must possess current BCLS, PALS, and NRP
certifications. PALS and NRP may be obtained within the first 90
days of employment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Is occasionally required to
stand, walk, sit, or feel. Occasionally required to reach with
hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, taste and smell.
The employee is regularly required to lift, push and/or pull
weights in excess of 25 pounds. The employee must occasionally lift
and/or move more than 100 pounds, with assistance. Visual
abilities, auditory abilities, must be intact to perform duties.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Is regularly exposed to toxic or caustic
chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level
in the work environment is usually moderate.
