Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Discipline: Social Work - Start Date: 03/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days, evenings - Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Mental Health Coordinator (LCSW / LPC / LMFT) Location: California City, CA 93505 Assignment Length: 13 Weeks (Initial) Shift: 8-Hour Shifts | 1st or 2nd Shift (Days/Evenings) | Weekdays & Weekends Hours: 40 hours/week guaranteed Call Requirement: Yes Position Overview The Mental Health Coordinator is responsible for planning and delivering non-medical clinical mental health services within a correctional facility setting. This role requires the ability to manage a full caseload, perform comprehensive assessments, and provide therapeutic interventions at a pace consistent with facility operational requirements. Key Responsibilities - Conduct comprehensive mental health screenings and assessments through clinical interviews and review of available records - Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on assessed needs and level of functioning - Provide ongoing counseling, therapeutic interventions, and crisis management services - Document all assessments, treatments, and evaluations accurately in the healthcare record - Maintain strict confidentiality of all clinical information and sensitive materials - Apply psychological counseling theories and evidence-based techniques in treatment planning - Deliver appropriate mental health services to address acute, chronic, and crisis-related needs Required Qualifications - Master's degree from an accredited college or university in: - Social Work - Psychology - Mental Health Counseling - Or a related clinical field - Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, including 2 years in a comparable role - Active and unrestricted California license: - LCSW or LPC (LMFT may be considered per client discretion) - Must be at least 18 years of age - Valid driver's license preferred (unless otherwise required by contract or statute) Additional Requirements & Notes - Only candidates with active California licensure will be considered - U.S. Citizenship required for ICE clearance - ICE clearance process may take a minimum of 4 weeks after submission of all required documentation - Candidates will undergo a thorough background and credit investigation - ICE Clearance Screening Form must be submitted with candidate profile - Auto-offer position; however, candidates must maintain open availability in accordance with client scheduling policies.
