Job Description:
DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYThe Store Support Associate is
responsible for providing outstanding, friendly customer service.
You will answer general questions from customers involving pricing,
returns and location of merchandise. This is not a supervisory
position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES ---Perform assigned tasks such as
replenishing merchandise, preparation of products or setting up
displays, etc.---Perform all assigned cleaning functions in
accordance with company standard practices.---Maintain the quality
of department's appearance and presentation.---Scan the purchases
of a customer into the cash register efficiently and accurately.
(if applicable)---Recognize or differentiate between the various
types of merchandise carried in the store, including differences
between varieties of similar classes of products, etc.).---Bag or
package merchandise according to established company policies and
procedures.---Observe and follow all company policies and
established procedures. ---Communicate any needed equipment repairs
or maintenance work needed. ---Maintain solid communication in the
department and throughout the organization.---Treat all co-workers
with fairness, dignity, and respect.---Perform all other duties as
assigned.Stocking:---Breaking down pallets, separating Customer
Service products for sales floor, cooler and/or back-room prep
area---Ensures that all Customer Service products are in its right
place, so employees and shoppers can find what they need quickly
and easily---Maintains good communication with store management and
other associates ---Serves as a back-up in other departments as
needed---Attends department and all store meetings, as assigned, or
neededInventory:---Notifies immediate supervisor of out-of-stock
products---Notifies immediate supervisor of price discrepancies
---Must be knowledgeable of merchandise placement and location
---Stock displays using proper rotation procedures ADDITIONAL

is open to and willing to be trained and step in when needed in all
similar skilled areas for filling and development

Compliance:---Follow safety practices such as: washing hands,
wearing a clean uniform per shift, trim, and clean no longer than -
of inch, natural fingernails ---Under the direction of immediate
supervisor, applies IIPP Procedures, Safety Program and
Procedures---Assists immediate supervisor in Loss Prevention in
curbing internal and external theft---Adheres to all local, state,
federal regulations and company policy pertaining to safety and
loss prevention---Complies with all Health Compliance and Food
Regulations---Complies with all OSHA requirementsCross Training:
QUALIFICATIONS---Able to deliver friendly, courteous, prompt
customer service "Customer Matters Most"---Able to read, write, and
do simple math problems---Able to interpret, understand and follow
instructions ---Ability to effectively communicate and respond to
questions from the public and management---Ability to interact with
all levels of managementThe required qualifications are as
follows:EDUCATION---No experience required, but prefer a minimum of
1-2 years of work experience in a similar work
environment---Customer service experience in a similar or
comparable work environment, strong work ethic supported by a
pleasant and positive attitude of "can do" success---WORKING
CONDITIONS A Customer Service Store Support Associate may be
exposed to various temperature changes and work environments.
SKILLS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS---Ability to frequently reach, lift,
stack and maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weights up to
approximately 100 lbs. with a lifting aid. And up to 20 lbs.
without aid. Ability to push and pull fully loaded hand
trucks.---Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk and move
rapidly, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently. Manual dexterity
and good eye-hand coordination are necessary. Must be able to
operate related equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers,
compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks and hand
trucks.---Mental alertness is necessary to ensure safe and accurate
completion of work activities. Requires knowledge of basic math,
weights and measures. Ability to learn section policies and
procedures.---Exposure to potential hazards exists with respect to
equipment and work aides necessary to perform job duties. Hands are
in frequent contact with water and various fruits and vegetables
while performing job duties.The physical demands described here are

feet in height, and to operate or assist in operating power-driven
machinery or equipment.---Must be able to use job related equipment
such as a stepping ladder and dollies ---No experience required,
but a minimum of 1-2 years of work experience in a similar work
environment is preferred---Previous experience as a Retail
Associate, Cashier, or Grocery Clerk is preferred ---Must be able
to lift up to 20 pounds without aidREQUIREMENTS---Able to deliver
friendly, courteous, prompt customer service---Able to read, write,
