- SUMMARY The Human Resources Business Partner will support
business functions in Gardena, California in all aspects of Human
Resources. Some functions the HRBP will own include: staffing,
recruiting, employee relations, orientation, benefits,
compensation, training, policy interpretation/implementation and
performance management. - The position is also responsible for the
execution of additional continuous improvement initiatives
identified as business priorities. All responsibilities must be
performed in collaboration with additional Human Resource partners
to create sustainable and consistent processes amongst all North
America company sites/employees. All tasks should be in alignment
with the company's strategy and be designed to achieve maximum
effectiveness and success. - Essential Duties and
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a recruitment strategy for hourly and
salary positions using IPS standard of work processes including
posting of positions, applicant tracking, evaluation of candidates
and recommendations to hiring managers. -
- Establish, maintain and utilize relevant metrics to gauge the
effectiveness of the talent acquisition function. Utilize these
metrics to drive sustained continuous improvement. -
- Lead talent and development planning including assessment of
talent, succession planning, leadership development and workforce
planning, Partner with the leadership team to ensure that the right
talent is available to execute the business plans in advance of
need.
- Analyze results of the annual employee survey to provide
insight and recommendations to improve results; partner with
leaders of each group to drive team improvements through the
creation and execution of an action plan. Ensure visual management
is used throughout the year on progress on action plans. -
- Ensure thorough familiarity with company policies and
procedures as well as local labor laws. Appropriately applies
policies and procedures in compliance with appropriate legislation.
Properly execute corporate policies and HR programs ensuring
superior quality, delivery and cost. Interpret policies and make
recommendations for improvements.
- Answer employee questions and assist with HR programs,
policies, benefits, FMLA, and other employee safety, health and
wellness services.
- Day-to-day employee relations including problem solving,
counseling, coaching, fact-finding, etc.
- Own communication, execution and follow-up of cyclical team
events. This includes but is not limited to: open enrollment,
hourly merit reviews, salaried merit reviews, performance and
development programs as well as employee events
- Complete various projects involving analytical and research
work, i.e. legislative changes, regulations and defining
career-paths.
- Responsible for talent management including consulting with the
organization's leaders regarding team development and
personal/professional development of employees.
- Partner with leadership to facilitate meaningful change and
improved organizational effectiveness. HRBP's will join with
leadership to champion the IPS Business System. IPS Business System
is the organizational culture that encompasses continuous
improvement and policy deployment of strategic initiatives.
- Develop an understanding of the relevant industry including
business cycles, competitors, customers, channel partners and key
success factors
- Operational Excellence - Executes and oversees day to day
administrative functions including administration of human
resources policies and programs, approval of requisitions and offer
letters, guidance on employee mobility/relocation, employee
relations, participation and contribution to annual compensation
planning and performance management process
- Travel up to 10% of the time.

creativity, conceptual ability and judgment. Ability to lead and
manage change process for the organization effectiveness. An
analytical and effective human resources problem-solver, with a
strong strategic orientation; someone who deals effectively with
both macro "big picture" issues, as well as detailed tactical
activity involved in developing appropriate programs.

working with, and through others. Education and Experience
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, human resources/labor relations
or related field required. -
- Master's Degree in business, human resources/labor relations or
related field a plus. -
- Minimum of 2-3 years in a HR generalist or related role. -
- Must possess skills regarding conflict management,
counseling/coaching, recruitment & interviewing, compensation,
training, safety, problem solving and personnel
administration.
- Must possess excellent persuasion and leadership skills to gain
consensus regarding organizational strategy and policy that will
inevitably involve continuous change and improvement.
- Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws
- Excellent knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal, and written
communication skills
- Comfortable speaking in front of groups
- Organization and time management skills
