At FF, we're creating something new, something connected, and something with a true global impact.Your Role:As an Manager - Passive Safety Testing in Faraday Futures vehicle safety team, you will be working with world class engineering teams towards FF vision of building the best in class Electric Vehicles. You will be playing a leading role in coordinating and executing passive safety testing to support successful launch of FF vehicles in a timely manner. Your role will include creating and enhancing the certification test plans and executing them as per the relevant test procedures to ensure compliance with legal and consumer test requirements. You will also support development of test methods and processes for component, subsystem, sleds to full vehicle crash tests to streamline passive safety of FF vehicles. Work closely with Engineering functions like CAE, body engineering, chassis, interiors, restraints, program management teams, manufacturing, external suppliers and test houses to ensure execution of crash test plans. You will possess a can-do attitude and excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with test houses and to present test results and findings to internal engineering teams.Responsibilities:Responsible for coordinating and executing passive safety testing in a timely manner and within budget to ensure compliance with global homologation and consumer test protocolsCreate test plans and processes for component, sub-system, sled (for restraints development), full vehicle crash testing and lead development of world class test organizationWork collaboratively with internal engineering teams, suppliers and external test houses to plan and execute the testsIdentify performance issues during testing and work with engineering teams/suppliers to root cause problems and implement corrective actionWork collaboratively in cross functional teams to support product development by providing design inputs based on results of safety testsParticipate in program design reviews to provide inputs on safety performanceAbility and willingness to travel to support testingDemonstrate ability to work in a fast paced environment by executing tests in a timely mannerBasic Qualifications:BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field10years experience in passive safety testing for an Automotive OEMStrong understanding and experience with global safety standards and test protocols including FMVSS, ECE, USNCAP,EuroNCAP, CNCAP and IIHSExperienced in test execution including coordination with internal teams, equipment and techniciansCapable of managing crash test programs from original concept to full report deliveryAbility to analyze and interpret test data using available tools - video & data acquisition systemsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish effective working relationships with internal engineering teams, suppliers and external test housesPreferred Qualifications:Working knowledge of CAD software such as CATIA and SolidWorksKnowledge of CAE analysis for passive safety and hands on experience with post-processing software like META, Animator and Altair HyperworksExperience with restraints design to meet occupant injury criteriaProficient with Microsoft Office tools - able to generate good presentations and reportsFamiliarity with typical Automotive manufacturing processesAble to work in a fast paced program with a diverse teamExcellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong team playerAble to effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlinesPerksBenefits:Stock options for every employeeHealthcaredentalvision benefits (Free for you/discounted for family)401(k) optionsEngineering orientationonboardingDaily catered lunches onsite (nominal cost)Healthy snacksbeverages 24/7Relocation assistancereimbursementFree parkingcarpool reimbursementCasual dress coderelaxed work environmentCulturally diverse, progressive atmosphere"Soul of Faraday" community outreach teamSDL2017
