Job Description Role and Responsibilities: --- Provide the Regulatory Compliance Director with recommendations for improving safety in the workplace --- Conduct regular safety inspections to identify workplace safety hazards --- Assist with identification of health and safety hazards and implementing the proper control measures --- Monitor safety upon employee entrance --- Assist injured employees in completing the safety injury report and submitting those reports to the Human Resources Department --- Provide basic first aid to employees with minor injuries --- Complete Safety Incident Report Forms outlining safety hazards observed --- Issue and document the issuance of safety blades and replacement blades to employees in need --- Replace and dispose of sharps containers throughout the facility when needed --- Replenish hairnets throughout the facility when needed Qualifications and Education Requirements --- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills --- Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English --- Basic computer skills Behavioral characteristics: --- Highly ethical individual who applies ethical standards of behavior to daily work activities. --- An Individual with the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment, while consistently demonstrating collaborative, respectful and productive work habits. Preferred Skills --- Demonstrated commitment to safety --- Ability to write reports and correspondence --- Regular and predictable attendance, safely perform tasks and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of this job --- Ability to correctly identify conditions that affect employee safety --- Must be highly organized and a team player
