Sr. Engineer, Chassis Steering Control Systemat Faraday

true global impact.Your Role:
- Create and maintain technical specifications for Chassis
steering system (e.g. front & rear steering, steering column) for
premium EV platforms.
- Create and manage SW development plan, test cases, validation
plan, bug fix, and releases.
- Design, analyze, develop, and release chassis steering control
components (e.g. ECUs, sensors, and brackets) to achieve vehicle
program targets.
- Ensure component and system meet certification requirements for
FMVSS, ECE, CCC and comply with ISO26262.
- Manage suppliers to meet all program milestone's deliverables
and to achieve Faraday engineering and quality standards.
- Liaise with attribute & stakeholder teams such as Vehicle
dynamics, NVH, Powertrain, and Safety to achieve target
multidisciplinary vehicle attributes.
- Support manufacturing & assembly & SW tool development of
steering control software and components.
- Other deliverables as defined by manager, or Supervisor. Basic
Qualifications:
- BS or BE plus a strong automotive interest and aptitude, M.S.
in Engineering a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in your field.
- Expert knowledge of steering control systems.
- Experience with vehicle calibration and vehicle dynamics
tuning.
- Proficiency with CATIA V5+, GD&T, and component and system
DFMEA / DVP&R.
- Proficiency with SW tools (Vector, C+, C++, MATLAB,
Simulink..)
- Knowledge of SW test case creation and validation.
- Knowledge of software integration, software release baselines,
diagnostics (ODBII) requirements, CAN messages/signal
definition.
- Strong familiarity with electronic component test validation
and certifications.
- Strong familiarity with ISO 26262 functional safety for
steering systems.Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven expertise with vehicle program development from
conceptual design though serial production launch.
- A diverse skillset including automotive control system, an
engineering design release process and the problem solving & 8D
Analysis etc.
- A wide range of experience with software requirement and
software issue management (e.g. JAMA, JIRA), SW HIL test.
- A creative curiosity, collaborative ethic, hardworking
enthusiasm, and driving personal vision
- Excellent communication skills and team-working tendencies
- A penchant for multi-tasking and self-starting
- A genuine fascination for the chassis field and a commitment to
global change
- A true sense of determination and hopefully a sense of humor
