Our widely published company is headquartered in a fast-paced design office and manufacturing facility in LA. We design, develop, and manufacture a variety of fa--ade systems, interior wall and ceiling systems, custom art installations on a full range of state-of-the-art equipment, in our 75,000sf facility. Our growing team is seeking an organized, and proactive Temp-to Hire Crate Builder to fill the role of Crate Drafter and Builder. - If you are a cabinet maker or crate builder with drafting experience apply now! Projects are constantly changing, quantities range from one off prototype's to short run production. You will be joining a fun, energetic and motivated team. -Main Responsibility is to make wood pallets and build crates to spec. Basic Qualifications:

• Ability to read and understand drawings and instructions; work collaboratively within organization to arrive at custom shipping crate dimensions
• Excellent critical decision, organization and follow-through skills, can anticipate needs
• Uses equipment to safely lift or move sheets of wood and dimensional lumber
• Uses power and hand tools; hammer, wrenches, crow bars, screw guns, pneumatic nail gun and electric saws
• Ability to work independently and within a team structure to keep projects on schedule
• Uses measuring tools such as squares, scales, rulers and tapes accurately
• Available to work 2nd shift (2:00pm-11:30pm) Job Requirements:
  • Strong attention to detail required
  • Able to use equipment to effectively measure, cut, and construct required materials
  • Master carpenter preferred.
  • Safely operate saws, nailer and Stapler equipment and miscellaneous power tools; notify management when maintenance is needed
  • Using drawings and specifications, construct crating and other wood structures.
  • Use materials and equipment in a cost-effective manner, and contribute to modifications that will result in cost savings
  • Notify manager when materials need to be reordered
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Document activity by completing production forms
  • Maintain excellent attendance and timeliness; ability to work mandatory overtime Physical Requirements:
    • Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 pounds
    • Frequently lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds using mechanical equipment
    • Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, grasp, and perform repetitive motions
    • Regularly stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time
    • Climb ladders of varying heights
    • Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold
