Procurement Specialist

Job Description:

Description Assists in the implementation and communication of company procurement policies and procedures
Inventory Management; monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs
Maintain inventory database of company assets and equipment
Identify and research potential vendors of goods and services
Reviews purchase requests for completeness and compliance with company policies
Creates reports on vendor data and analyzes the information to identify trends and make recommendations
Negotiate terms with vendors such as price, quality of goods, deadlines, expectations, etc.
Liaise with vendors regarding updates and details of goods; Follow up as needed, to confirm or change orders
Create purchase orders and tally these with supply requests and orders
Reviews reports of goods received and inspects merchandise to verify conformance to purchase order specifications
Review and conduct bid compare analysis on current services to determine if current vendors are still the best option
Performs on-boarding process for vendors
Supports continuous improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned Requirements Procurement
