About the Role:
The Inventory Control Manager is an essential role in the
Operations team for Weld On. Through analytics, the role will be
accountable for maintaining minimum and maximum direct material
levels to ensure optimal manufacturing operations. Additionally,
the role will be responsible for identifying material gaps and
recommend solutions. Strong analytical skills combined with lean
experience in a complex manufacturing environment will be required
for successful execution of this position.
The Inventory Control Manager must be a hands-on leader, one who
can develop and deploy inventory control procedures, train direct
reports and team members, ensure material level accuracy as well as
sustainment of the material management process. Additionally, as a
potential successor to other leadership roles in the organization,
the Inventory Control Manager must be promotable to the next level
in his or her career.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for effectively leading inventory teams, designs
effective work teams.
Conducts daily inventory analysis to solve inventory discrepancies
Develops strategic inventory management plans.
Documents inventory processes, updates documents as required.
Acts as the main contact for audits
Responsible for perpetual inventory balances and ensures finished
goods inventory availability.
Reconciles inventory discrepancies among different systems,
locations, categories, and classes.
Analyzes and addresses root cause for inventory transaction
Manage all Cycle Count and Physical Inventory activities for
Provides daily direction and leadership to the cycle count team
Conducts regular one on one and helps drafts performance objectives
and development plans
Coach and develop team members on proper processes, methodology,
Create and apply visual Gemba evidence and standard work for
inventory discrepancy tracking and status for core team and
Analyze complex inventory issues involving real-time inventory
Teams with Finance to lead internal & external Inventory audits
Subject Matter Expert (SME) to address all escalated Inventory
Control request for research, validation, and special projects
Defines requirements for and lead the implementation of inventory
system improvements, develops new strategies to make inventory
transactions more efficient.
Manage the collection and presentation of Inventory metrics and
KPIs utilizing Daily Management fundamentals and collaborate with
Global Inventory Control team Monitors KPI's, evaluates performance
and service levels, drives improvements for critical measurements
such as cycle count accuracy, overall inventory accuracy, and
Leads inventory control projects and process improvements
Education or Experience:
Bachelor's degree with 5 to 7 years of inventory management
experience including 2 years in a leadership role.
Knowledge and skills:
Thorough understanding of Material Handling, Supply Chain and
In-depth knowledge and experience with MRP systems preferably JDE
E1 and cycle count execution
Comprehensive knowledge of Inventory Control industry best
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and
verbal, as well as high ethical standards
Ability to manage multiple priorities, organize complex requests,
and resolve issues creatively
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to coordinate and
implement team projects
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills are required,
Advanced Excel skills preferred

Familiarity of Danaher Business Tools
