Development Manager is results-driven with a strong hunter
mentality to lead new customer acquisition and fuel revenue growth.
This front-line sales role focuses on outbound prospecting, opening
new doors, building relationships with manufacturing customers, and
closing complex B2B deals. The Business Development Manager thrives
in a high-impact, growth-oriented environment and excels at
converting opportunities into long-term, recurring customer
relationships. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES BUT NOT
LIMITED TO: Proactively identify and pursue new business
opportunities through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn, and
targeted industry research Build and maintain a strong pipeline of
qualified new prospects and RFQs Conduct discovery calls to
understand customer requirements, timelines, and decision-making
processes Collaborate closely with estimating, engineering, and
production teams to develop accurate, competitive quotes Present
BHI’s manufacturing capabilities and value proposition to buyers,
engineers, and decision-makers Negotiate pricing, terms, and close
high-value, recurring manufacturing accounts Maintain accurate CRM
records and provide regular activity and pipeline reporting
Represent BHI professionally in customer meetings, plant tours, and
industry engagements QUALIFICATIONS: 3–7 years of successful B2B or
industrial sales experience Demonstrated track record of new
account acquisition Experience selling into manufacturing, metal
fabrication, machining, or industrial supply environments strongly
preferred Strong outbound prospector comfortable with high-volume
activity Confident communicator with professional executive
presence Proven ability to close deals and negotiate pricing Highly
organized with disciplined follow-up and time management Able to
work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and
purchasing teams Self-motivated, results-driven, and accountable
for revenue outcomes EDUCATION and/EXPERIENCE: Education
(Preferred, Not Required) bachelor’s degree in business,
Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred, or
equivalent combination of education and relevant sales experience.
